The AESES Education Committee would like to offer members seminars to attend this spring!

  • The Truth About Credit | Thur., May 16, 7:00 – 9:00 pm

All seminars are delivered in person unless otherwise noted and have limited capacity. Waitlists will be available if necessary.

While we anticipate offering all seminars listed, details and times are subject to change and availability.

These seminars are for AESES signed members* and a guest (limit of one guest per member, per seminar). Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, with your completed registration form and payment (if required).

Lockhart Planetarium Show | Mon., April 22, 6:00 – 7:00 pm

Come and explore the universe from the comfort of your seat at the Lockhart Planetarium. Learn more about stars, deep space, and the solar system during this unique event suitable for everyone five years and older. Please note: participants must be comfortable in a semi-dark space and remain seated for at least 30 minutes.

Spring Card-Making Seminar| Thur., April 25, 6:30 – 8:30 pm

Learn how to create a custom greeting card during this hands-on seminar. There are two card designs to choose from: Birthday or Thinking of You. These cards feature three layers and various butterflies to complete your personalized creation. No prior experience is necessary, and all supplies will be provided.

The Truth About Credit | Thur., May 16, 7:00 – 9:00 pm

In The Truth About Credit webinar, the presenter will share key information to help you make decisions and take actions that will positively affect your credit and overall financial health. The presenter will also show you how to: identify what’s in it for you to be good with your money and credit, identify what is on your credit report, understand the credit rating system, identify the five factors that affect your credit score, and check your credit report.

*Please note that as of 2018, AESES implemented a policy that requires members to be signed as union members to participate in our education seminars. If you are not yet signed (or not sure) but are interested in attending, contact the AESES Business Office, and we can check and provide you with a membership form if needed.

Did you know

AESES is affiliated with the Confederation of Canadian Unions (CCU).

AESES' Charter Meeting was held in December of 1972.

We offer bursaries for AESES dependents at both universities.

Anyone can attend a Board meeting by calling the AESES Business Office prior to the meeting and confirming their attendance.

AESES requires new volunteers for various committees. Please contact the Business Office if you are an AESES member interested in joining one of our committees.
