Apply For $: Union Bursaries for Dependent Children

The Confederation of Canadian Unions (CCU) provides annual bursaries of $500 for dependent children of members of unions belonging to the CCU​,​ for the purpose of furthering their post-secondary education.​ This includes our AESES membership.​

​Eligible bursary applicants ​must be attending a post-secondary school and ​must be ​a dependent child​ of an AESES member (or other unions affiliated with CCU).

There will be a lottery for these bursaries at CCU’s executive board meeting on October 14, 2018. Successful applicants will be contacted by email after the meeting. At that point, proof of enrollment will be required, as well as the submission of a 500​​-1000 word essay on the topic of, ‘What Unionism means to you.’ Please note that essays are not required at this point, only from those who are awarded a bursary.

The dependent bursary application form can be downloaded here. The ​submission ​deadline is Friday, October 5, 2018.​ ​Completed forms can be submitted either by mail or email to:

AESES' Charter Meeting was held in December of 1972.

We offer bursaries for AESES dependents at both universities.

Anyone can attend a Board meeting by calling the AESES Business Office prior to the meeting and confirming their attendance.

AESES requires new volunteers for various committees. Please contact the Business Office if you are an AESES member interested in joining one of our committees.
