Fall Education Seminars

The AESES Education Committee would like to offer members three seminars to help you welcome fall. We have a few other seminars in the works, but we need a little more time before we announce those. Stay tuned.

All seminars have limited capacity and will be conducted in-person unless otherwise noted. Deadlines for registration are listed below the seminar.

Waitlists will be made available if necessary. While we anticipate offering all seminars listed, details and times are subject to change and availability.

These seminars are for AESES signed members* and a guest (limit of one guest per member, per event). Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, with your completed registration form and payment (if required).

Watch as the sun slowly disappears below the horizon and geese begin landing on Lake Devonian at sunset in this breathtaking autumn ritual. Throughout the night, you can participate in activities from the migration education station.

Saint-Boniface Cemetery Tour | Wed., Oct. 30 | 6:30 – 7:30 pm

Visit the oldest cemetery in Western Canada and discover its history. Learn about illustrious contributors to Manitoba history while visiting some important gravesites, including Louis Riel’s. Step into the ruins of the Basilica that burned in 1968 and see the spectacular stained-glass windows in the most recent and modern of St. Boniface’s five cathedrals.

*Please note that as of 2018, AESES implemented a policy that requires members to be signed as union members to participate in our education seminars. If you are not yet signed (or not sure) but are interested in attending, contact the AESES Business Office, and we can check and provide you with a membership form if needed.

Did you know

AESES is affiliated with the Confederation of Canadian Unions (CCU).

AESES' Charter Meeting was held in December of 1972.

We offer bursaries for AESES dependents at both universities.

Anyone can attend a Board meeting by calling the AESES Business Office prior to the meeting and confirming their attendance.

AESES requires new volunteers for various committees. Please contact the Business Office if you are an AESES member interested in joining one of our committees.
